Biography

Dr Reece Davies is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at St George Public and Private and Hurstville Private Hospitals., with rooms in both Kogarah and Campbelltown.

He is Australian trained, obtaining his degrees at the University of Sydney and gaining experience and training at Westmead Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne), John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle), St George Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Liverpool Hospital.

He is interested in all areas of cardiac and aortic surgery, as well as lung and lung cancer surgery has a special interest in minimally invasive and thoracoscopic thoracic surgery.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery (ANZSCTS). He has published widely on topics including Aortic Arch Surgery, Aortic Valve Surgery, Atrial Fibrillation Surgery and on Lung Neuroendocrine Neoplasms. He is the current Supervisor of Training for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons at St George Hospital.
